Grokipedia

On the 27th of this month, Elon Musk released Grokipedia, a new online encyclopedia to rival Wikipedia. This is a service by XAI, an AI company which Elon Musk owns. Wikipedia is written and edited by people, and as those of you who use the site know, Wikipedia has a significant left-wing bias. Larry Sanger, one of the founders of Wikipedia, has also sharply criticized this bias, claiming that it abandoned its basic principle of neutrality and is biased toward a far-left ideology. The Manhattan Institute’s 2023 report also noted that articles about right-leaning public figures often contain more negative language than articles about left-leaning public figures.

And the internet is comparing Wikipedia and Grokipedia on the same topic.  One example is George Floyd,

When I looked into the origin of Covid-19, I found that Grokipedia is neutral in its explanation, saying “Experts’ opinions are divided, but there is also the theory of the Wuhan Institute outbreak,” while Wikipedia says “The laboratory outbreak theory is baseless, and conspiracy theories about the origin of the virus have spread widely.”

So I encourage you to check out the both sites to see which site stands in the middle. 😉
