About

Prior to my birth, my mother was treated heavily with strong Tuberculosis medicines for years. Thankfully, I was born normal, but my immune system was compromised. I was raised in Japan with a fairly healthy traditional Japanese food. However the Japanese food industry was shifting to more convenient foods by creating all kinds of processed foods such as Cup Noodles, Instant Ramen, ready to eat curry and meatballs, and so forth. So I was exposed to them as the rest of the kids were. Eventually I developed Atopic Eczema, which is very common in Japan. For treatment, I was introduced to a steroid cream and used it all the time. However, the more steroid I took, the more the Eczema was spreading out.

When I moved to Hawaii, I enjoyed all kinds of junk food, fast food (McDonald, Jack-in-the-box, Burger King), Vienna sausage, spam, sweets full of artificial colors and additives. I was also a heavy smoker and coffee drinker. By the time I received my master’s degree (MBA) my health had deteriorated. I had a job assignment as a coordinator for a Japanese publishing company and traveled to neighbor islands to interview all the major business owners. I had to work long hours from 6am to 1am and eventually crashed. I wasn’t able to move my body from the bed because of sever back pain (around the liver).

I saw an O-ring practitioner in Japan a couple of months after the incident, and was diagnosed with connective tissue disease [disorder]. I got scared but didn’t believe him. I decided to cut down coffee and dairy, and stopped eating fast food. I started going to the health food store instead of a regular supermarket and bought more organic food. The pain got manageable, so I thought I was healed.

I then moved to NY to pursue my accounting and business career. I started working an intense schedule and soon formed my own accounting consulting company, which only increased the stress on my life. I was trying to make healthier choices in food, but most of the time I was on the go. Often I ate a pint of ice cream, chips and chocolate for a dinner. The busier I got, the less time I had to cook. I needed energy to keep me going but I was not nourished at all. Also, all these years I was talking the steroid for my Eczema and I knew that I should stop using it.

My life changed when I met Mr. Atsumi Kajita, a natural health expert whom had helped many Japanese Olympians achieve their best health and athletic conditions by introducing one of the best nutritional supplements and teaching the importance of nutrition. Kajita counseled and inspired me to change my lifestyle to a healthier one. I gained more energy, which kept me going, and healed my Eczema by making better choices of food and taking good supplements.

I was so empowered by the changes I made in my own lifestyle that I literally did decide to change my life. Impassioned by the possibilities of Holistic healing, I decided to change my career. After reading many books, experimenting with diets and alternative treatments, and earning a degree from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, I am here to help others achieve their own health and lifestyle goals.
