Some people are not happy about new announcement

On the 23rd of this month, President Trump and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services announced new autism measures, including FDA label updates and research funding. This announcement may be seen as a bright future for parents of children with autistic disorders. Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) has skyrocketed nearly 400% since 2000 and is now reported to affect 1 in 31 American children according to HHS site. I hope that this initiative will help to reduce that number, but the reality is that there are many people who try to hide the truth.

According to documents obtained in a lawsuit against Kenvue (an independent company from Johnson & Johnson), the manufacturer of Tylenol and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) have known for years that there is a likely link between the drug’s use during pregnancy and neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism.

The internal emails in evidence suggest that they were concerned about the danger since 2008. Also there are emails indicating that J&J considered funding a study on the link between Tylenol and autism, but decided against “sticking their necks out” because they were concerned that their own research might support the link.

In fact, the company’s website states that “reliable independent scientific data continues to show that there is no proven link between taking acetaminophen and autism” and that “there is no reliable science showing that taking acetaminophen causes autism.” In response, the White House announced this press release which included links to studies from top research institutions, including Harvard, Johns Hopkins University, Mount Sinai and University of Massachusetts, that identified a link between Tylenol used during pregnancy and autism.

I sincerely hope that Kenvue loses this lawsuit and the whole truth comes out for the public.
