The news about banning international students at Harvard was a hot topic at home this month since I have a child in high school. I totally understand the frustration those international students trying to attend Harvard university must have. I was an international student too. They spend a lot of money to enroll at Harvard and are excited about studying.
Free Speech should be allowed; different opinions should be heard. However, there should be no violence as well as no discrimination, which Harvard has failed to protect all of its students.
I don’t know why Harvard refused to provide information about the criminality and misconduct of foreign students on its campus. Those foreign students should sue Harvard for not complying with the government and ask for a full refund of the tuition.
Enrolling international students is important to have a different point of view on campus, but it should be limited to 10 to 15 %. There is the same issue in Japan where 30% of students in the top university are Chinese who are stealing our technology according to some political experts.
