LAhaina Support

The Epoch Times on August 29th said that  “The Aug. 8 Lahaina fire, while more than 90 percent contained, left 115 dead and nearly 1,000 still missing in what federal officials described as the worst natural disaster in U.S. history”.  There have been many articles about how such a large fire could have occurred, but I don’t think the truth has emerged yet. A beautiful historic city has disappeared without a trace, many lives have been lost, and those who lost everything are overwhelmed with grief.   I reached out to many of my friends in Hawaii and learned that everyone is ok, however my friend and one of the leading painters on the island, Roy Tabora’s art gallery on Front Street burned down.  In Although his employees lives are in tact, their home and lives are in ruins as a result of the disaster.  To help them and others in the community, Roy has set up various direct aid fund raising.  To entice his collectors and other donors, Roy is offering the option to buy paintings at discount or to purchase next year’s calendar where proceeds will go directly to victims.  He is also accepting monetary donations.  I am sure our readers are helping Maui in various ways, but if you haven’t done so already, please support his efforts.  Here is the link.  https://taboragallery.com/assistance-lahaina-wildfire/
